Reset Forgotten Password

If you have already set up your security questions in LSE for You, you can use this self-service facility to reset your forgotten LSE Public Account password. If you have not already set up your security questions, see the Help section for information on resetting your password.

Please note: at the present time it is not possible to use this form to change the password of an LSE Network Account. (See below for an explanation of the different types of accounts). If you have forgotten the password of your LSE Network Account, refer to the instructions on the right-hand side of this page regarding where to go to reset it.

Information about accounts and usernames

For current staff and students
LSE Network Accounts are issued to current students and staff.
Usernames for LSE network accounts usually start with the first letters of your surname, sometimes followed by your initials and/or a number, e.g. OTHER or OTHERAN or OTHERAN1.

For alumni, graduate applicants and other members of the LSE community
LSE Public Accounts are intended to provide secure access to relevant LSE online services for those members of the LSE community not eligible for LSE Network Accounts.
LSE Public Accounts use your (non-LSE) email address as the username, e.g. a.n.other@freemail.net.

If you have forgotten your username, please see the Help section for advice on how to recover it.
