The course provides an overview of the School's recruitment processes and will give participants a broad understanding of various recruitment techniques and how to get the best from them. It will help you become more effective when recruiting and ensure that the people you select are the best fit for the jobs you need to fill. The course will also help you to develop your interview and selection skills. The course is made up of an interactive online module, followed by a one-day intensive course led by HR, with the support of professional actors to demonstrate and role-play interview scenes. Target audience: Whether you are a new manager at the School, or a more experienced manager looking to brush up your recruitment skills (and you haven't yet attended a recruitment course at the School). | Prerequisites: |
All participants must have completed the online module before participating in the course. The online learning contains four modules and takes 90 minutes to complete. Areas covered are:
- writing recruitment adverts
- good recruitment practice
- reference checking
- ensuring equality and diversity in recruitment
Each module has step by step instructions that involves a mix of reading material, answering multiple choice quizzes, viewing video clips and completing short surveys. You will need to turn on the sound on your computer to view the video clips.
