The Flying Start Induction is a one day event that aims to help new staff gain greater appreciation of the wider organisational context and offers new networking opportunities.

The day is designed to help you settle into your new place of work as smoothly as possible: it offers you the chance to network with other new starters and department / division representatives, find out more about our services, and explore some of the training and development opportunities available to you.

Areas covered include:

  • Welcome from the COO
  • Finance
  • Ethics
  • Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
  • IMT training
  • Sustainability
  • HR
  • Organisational Learning
  • Estates
  • Campus and Library tour
  • LSE Communications

All Flying Start delegates will be automatically registered to attend the LSE History lunch time tour, guided by Sue Donnelly.
