Course: Getting to Grips with Office 2010 and Windows 7
Description:

We suggest you attend 1-2 weeks before or just after your computer is upgraded. Please use the Message to Training Provider section of the booking form to let us know any specific questions you'd like to address during the session. For demonstration purposes, the session concentrates on the use of Microsoft Word. However, most techniques shown are applicable across all Microsoft Office Programmes.

This is a trainer-led course designed to teach the skills listed below.
Note: If you would like the course tailored to the needs of 6 or more colleagues and run at a time to suit your group, please feel free to contact the IT Training Team (IT.Training@lse.ac.uk).

By the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Quickly find Office 2003 commands in 2010
  • Understand how to use “the ribbon” in any Office 2010 program
  • Create a toolbar containing your favourite icons in any Office 2010 programme
  • Use the Windows quick search to find programs and control panel settings
  • Preview a Word document as you adjust print settings
  • Save a Word or Excel file as a PDF file and automatically create an email with the file attached
  • Get answers to your questions about using Office 2010

Familiar with Office 2003
