Who is this course for?
 
This course is designed to meet the needs of staff that are new to presenting, those who are nervous as well as those looking to improve their presentation skills.
 
Overview
 
The one-day course is designed to provide a comprehensive introduction into the key skills and techniques required to plan, prepare and deliver engaging presentations. This incorporates practical tools and techniques alongside activities to enhance delivery whilst exploring individual strengths.
 
Learning objectives
 

  • To identify the key messages to be delivered during your presentation
  • To consider a variety of delivery methods and tailor methods according to your audience
  • To create a new visual aid to support the key message of your presentation
  • To demonstrate how to use body language effectively
  • To practice delivering in a confident and engaging manner
  • To recognise your strengths as a presenter and how to capitalise on these
  • To identify areas for development and receive peer support and accountability to make these improvements
