| Programme: | NetworkED: Technology in Education |
| Course: | Exploring Social Media as Data Sources for Research |
| Description: | Using social media to support and aid research, by way of extending one’s academic network and as extended search engines is now a fairly common practice, but using the social media output itself as sources of data, and adding it to existing methodological frameworks is only now emerging as a new practice. As part of the CLT networkED seminar series, our last event this academic year will be a workshop exploring the use of social media as a new source of data. We intend it as an explorative workshop, a learning experience for presenters and participants alike. We invite you to join us to develop our understanding of benefits and drawbacks, ethical and technical issues and in particular welcome individuals or research teams who are currently using social media for research purposes to share their experiences with the group. |
