Programme: Microsoft Office 2010 IT Practical Workshops
Course: Excel 2010: Essential Functions

This workshop is for Office 2010/2011 (Mac) only and will be scheduled when the minimum number of requests has been reached. Please use this link to book on a scheduled Excel 2013: Essential Functions workshop for Office 2013 /2016 (Mac).

This workshop is ideal for anyone who needs to use Excel functions to do a number of calculations, such as quickly adding up columns of numbers and calculating averages. The session also contains additional formatting, calculation and troubleshooting techniques. By the end of this session you will understand how to:

  • find the maximum and minimum value in a range
  • perform basic logical tests
  • understand how to fix errors
  • use automatic formatting
  • use statistical functions

Our IT Practical workshops flip traditional training on its head by presenting learners with a problem to be solved and encouraging them to use their prior experience, web searches, in-application Help programs, and their fellow students or colleagues to find the solutions.

The workshops are all held in ALD.LG.01B (The Amber Room) and we request that you kindly refrain from eating and drinking in this room.

Please ensure you bring your LSE ID with you as you may be asked to show it at reception.
