Who is this course for?

This course would benefit those staff members who would like to ensure that their CV is as up to date and polished as possible for applying for internal or external roles. The course will also cover the principles (and practise) of performing effectively at interview and so would benefit anyone who wanted to practise their interviewee skills.

Overview

This course will begin by looking at the CV; what it is for, what it should look like and how to make the best of your own individual experiences to write a CV which is more likely to get you through to interview stage in a job application process. The afternoon will look at the interview itself; answering difficult questions, dealing with nerves, how to present yourself and an overview of assessments you may encounter. 

Course content

  • Be able to write an effective and polished CV
  • Understand how your past experience can be adapted for CV purposes
  • Understand the interview process
  • Be able to deal more effectively with nerves during an interview
  • Answer some classic interview questions effectively
  • Understand how to deal with assessments

 
Effective Behaviour Framework

This course will support the Managing Self and Others and Communication behaviours at yourself level.
