This session will explore the role assessment plays in supporting student learning, what, how, why, and when we assess. We will discuss various types of assessment and reflect on the distinction between assessment 'of' and 'for' learning within the course(s) you teach, and across the higher education sector. We will also consider the role of learning technologies in promoting and supporting effective assessment practices.
