Programme: LSE LIFE Programme
Course: Master's Dissertation: writing retreat
Description:

Trying to get your ideas down on paper? Finding it difficult to start or make progress in writing your dissertation? Meeting with others to write can help overcome writer’s block and procrastination. It can also give you the boost you need to develop a daily writing habit. Bring your laptops with you along with your notes and plans to this afternoon of writing.  *A "retreat" is a place where you can relax or reflect. The idea is to change your usual work setting, create a time and a place without distractions (like phones and e-mails!), and set a specific intention to get something done. At a writing retreat, with the support of other writers, you set specific goals to make progress on a particular text or part of a text, and check in with each other on progress during planned breaks.
