Course: Success with CAPIS: Key areas in completing your course proposal form

When developing courses, individuals can get caught up in the excitement of the topic and its relevance. However, as well as capturing significance of the topic that will be taught, there are certain areas of the CAPIS form that are specifically aligned to good practice in teaching and learning. This workshop will help participants examine the value of intended learning outcomes, and will help them develop assessment methods that are both pragmatic and aligned to the course aims.

Who should attend?

This workshop is aimed at those relatively new to course design but is also likely to be of interest to those who want to adapt a more systematised approach to course design.

Learning Outcomes

After this session you should be able to:

  • Adopt a more systematic approach to course design
  • Develop approaches to assessment that are aligned to underlying course design principles
  • Produce CAPIS forms that are aligned to the LSE perspective on course design.
