Course: 'We Are Angry': Critical Thinking in Context with the Women's Library
Description:

Put your critical thinking skills to work by examining primary documents from the Women’s Liberation Movement (WLM) in the UK. In this session, with the Women’s Library curator Gillian Murphy and LSE LIFE’s Sara Felix, you will analyse different pamphlets and leaflets from across the movement, starting with the National WLM conference in 1970. The aim is to explore how the WLM evolved over time. By examining these primary sources, you’ll consider how they demonstrate a changing consciousness on the role of women in society and the aims of the WLM. The critical thinking skills developed in this workshop could be applied to multiple research projects as well as developing political awareness in your own life.
