Course: Web Design 1: HTML Pages

This workshop introduces students to creating basic web pages with HTML code.

Students must complete the short Web Design 1 Moodle Lesson before attending. 

It is ideal for anyone interested in understand more about how web pages are created, or is interested in creating their own (non-LSE) web page.

All students will work at their own pace and some may find they wish to attend the course a number of times in order to fully complete the learning.

By the end of this session you will understand how to:

  • Make informed decisions about how you structure your code within web pages
  • Create a well-structured base HTML file which includes all the required tags
  • Identify the semantic elements of HTML, such as tags, attributes, and values

Computers will be provided, however space is limited. Please ensure you arrive on time as five minutes after the course starts any unclaimed places will be given to people on the waiting list.

This session takes place in the Amber Miro Training Suite located on the 3rd floor of Aldwych House. You should allow 10 minutes travel time if you are walking from the NAB or Library, and 5 minutes from Old Building or SAW.
