Course: Web Design 4a: Bootstrap
Description:

This workshop introduces students to creating web pages using a Bootstrap template.

Prior to attending the workshop, students must have completed the tasks in Web Design 1: HTML Pages, Web Design 2: HTML Sites and Web Design 3: CSS Format, as well as the the short Web Design 4 Moodle Lesson.

By the end of this session you will understand how to:

  • Create a responsive website through the use of Bootstrap
  • Properly use external code snippets to embed interactive elements, such as Maps
  • Modify existing Bootstrap templates to better suit own preferences

All students will work at their own pace and some may find they wish to attend the course a number of times in order to fully complete the learning.

Computers will be provided, however space is limited. Please ensure you arrive on time as five minutes after the course starts any unclaimed places will be given to people on the waiting list.

This session takes place in the Amber Miro Training Suite located on the 3rd floor of Aldwych House. You should allow 10 minutes travel time if you are walking from the NAB or Library, and 5 minutes from Old Building or SAW.

Prerequisites:

complete the tasks in Web Design 1: HTML Pages, Web Design 2: HTML Sites and Web Design 3: CSS Format,
as well as the the short Web Design 4 Moodle Lesson
