Who is this course for?

This event is aimed at those in line management positions


This course will examine the role of the manager in maximising staff performance and will show managers how to set meaningful objectives, monitor and assess performance using both objectives and behaviours, and identify the actions that managers can take to develop staff. It is a practical course and includes working with actors to practice conversations in small groups

Learning objectives

  • Understand the role of the manager in performance management 
  • Know how to set appropriate objectives
  • Understand how to monitor and measure staff performance at 3 levels i.e. expected, above and below
  • Give feedback to improve performance and result
