Programme: IT Practical Workshops: Microsoft Office & Web Design
Course: Web Design: HTML, CSS & Bootstrap
Description:

This workshop is ideal for anyone interested in learning how to design and create their own (non-LSE) web pages using HTML, CSS & Bootstrap. No previous knowledge is required.

Our Web Design IT Practical workshops have been re-designed so that students can work at their own pace and attend as many sessions as they need to work their way from basic HTML coding to learning how to customise Bootstrap templates, to more advanced CSS features. Student Training Advisors will be on hand to help out if you get stuck. There are five discrete tasks to complete and all need to be completed in order as they build upon the previous task:

  • Task 1: HTML Pages
  • Task 2: HTML Sites
  • Task 3: CSS Format
  • Task 4a: Bootstrap
  • Task 4b: CSS Layout

Computers will be provided for this workshop.

Please note: these workshops have a limited capacity. If you have a confirmed place, please be on time.

If you are on the waiting list we invite you to show up as well, as five minutes after the course starts any unclaimed places will be given to people on the waiting list.

If you are unable to attend please ensure you cancel your place.

Prerequisites:

Please ensure you have watched the videos (10-15 minutes) and completed the quiz in Task 1 of the Web Design Moodle course before attending (https://moodle.lse.ac.uk/course/view.php?id=6401).
