Who is this course for?

All staff who are responsible for recruitment



This interactive and highly practical course will support managers to effectively plan their recruitment


By the end of this course you will:

  • Be familiar with the requirements under Equality Act 2010
  • Define unconscious bias and its implications for a fair recruitment process
  • Become familiar with and be able to apply the anonymisation of application forms
  • Meet the school’s obligations to safeguard immigration as a whole and prevent illegal working
  • Draft a person specification using the Effective Behaviours Framework

This programme links to Recruitment & Selection Part 2 which takes managers further into the preparation of questions designed to get the best out of candidates. It will also explore and apply the skills of interviewing with practice and feedback
