This course is suitable for anyone who would like to develop their coaching skills.

 

 

Overview

 

This is an interactive workshop which introduces staff to the essential skills and practical techniques of coaching. Whether working with team members or with colleagues from other departments, developing coaching skills encourages greater communication, co-operation and collaboration. This course is designed to provide participants with an introductory understanding of coaching and some practical coaching tools, techniques and transferable skills which can be applied throughout the workplace.

 

By the end of this course you will

 

  • Understand what coaching is and the key skills involved
  • Identify the benefits of coaching both to the organisation and individuals
  • Identify the important qualities required to use coaching skills effectively
  • Understand the importance of self awareness and emotional intelligence
  • Learn how to use core coaching skills to listen more actively, ask more effective questions and provide more valuable feedback
  • Learn how the GROW and START coaching models can be used to overcome everyday workplace challenges
  • Practice and apply coaching techniques to real life issues
