Programme: Atlas 2019-20
Course: Panel on Academic Writing and Language
Description:

We are really excited to announce the third event in our LSE academic writing initiative on Monday 23 March from 13.00-14.00 in CBG 1.05. Our focus this time is on academic writing and language. So many colleagues at LSE and globally write in English, which may be their second or third language. We have invited speakers from across the School to speak about how their academic writing journey is mediated through their relationship with language(s). Even though language is a major factor in our writing, it is an aspect of our academic life we rarely reflect on.

A panel on academic writing, language and non-native English:

  • Jean Christophe Plantin, Media and Communications
  • Sara Salem, Sociology
  • Seckin Sertedemir-Ozdemir, European Institute
