Course: Master's Dissertation: Anonymise your research data

Are you using participants in your dissertation research e.g for interviews, focus groups, surveys or observations or using information about people e.g. from social media accounts? If so anonymisation/pseudonymisation is an important part of doing ethical research and protecting participants' identity. In this workshop we will think about how you can minimise the personal information you collect for your dissertation, when you should anonymise/pseudonymise your data and the techniques you can use to do this. We will also look at the technical measures you need use to keep participants' identity secure.
