Programme: Virtual online training
Course: White Ally Training (1.5hr)
Description:

This workshop is organised in collaboration with LSE EmbRace (staff network that champions race equality and supports the Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic community at LSE)

This training is aimed at staff who identify as White and the session is designed to be a safe space to fully discuss the concept of race.

A white ally is a person who, although does not experience direct or systemic racism, is eager to help fight and dismantle it. However, being an ally is not easy. This workshop will explore what it means to be a good ally. By the end of the session participants will understand the difference between good and bad ally practice, be able to challenge some of the most common racist discourses and support their friends, family and colleagues of colour.

If you have any questions about the session, please do get in touch with LSE EmbRace via embrace@lse.ac.uk

Prerequisites:

Please complete the pre-registration question for the course through this link:

Your answers will be anonymous and will be shared with the trainer to help them tailor the session to the delegates.

The question in the link is:

1. Please describe how you have been supporting the anti-racist cause thus far (it's ok if you haven't done much)
